SkyUp airline, based in Chisinau, has officially resumed regular flight operations after a long interruption due to the ongoing conflict.

This was announced by the company's press service, as reported by LIGA.net.

On April 18, the first flights took off from Chisinau to Paris and Lisbon, while the airspace remains closed.

SkyUp's flight schedule includes regular services to 13 European cities, including Paris, Lisbon, Nice, Barcelona, Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, Larnaca, Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Berlin, Prague, and Stockholm.

The choice of Chisinau as the airline's base is strategic, given its proximity to Ukraine, making it a practical and reliable hub for international routes.

It’s worth noting that in December 2024, SkyUp Airlines announced the launch of direct flights from Chisinau to popular European destinations for Ukrainian travelers.
