French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot described the meeting held in Paris on April 17 as a significant diplomatic achievement, uniting Americans, Europeans, and Ukrainians.

He made this statement during an interview on LCI, as reported by "European Truth".

Following the gathering, which included delegations from Ukraine, the UK, France, Germany, and the US, Barrot emphasized that this was a "diplomatic success" for his country.

"This is a diplomatic success for France, as for the first time, Americans, Ukrainians, and Europeans sat together at the same table," he stated.

He highlighted the importance of these meetings, stating, "We are moving towards our shared goal: peace."

"To achieve this, we must continue the dialogue. The Americans are eager to end this war," he continued, adding that the Americans are "listening" and want a ceasefire.

As reported, on April 17, French President Emmanuel Macron hosted a US delegation at the Élysée Palace. A meeting also took place in Paris between the Ukrainian delegation and representatives from France, Germany, and the UK.

US Special Representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, reported on the "very productive" meetings in Paris and shared a photo with the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
