The company "Ukrenergo" has denied the rumors regarding potential electricity outages in Ukraine.

This was reported by the company’s press service.

"In recent days, some media and social networks have been spreading news with attention-grabbing headlines about possible outages. We emphasize that this information is inaccurate. Currently, no restrictions are being implemented", – the statement reads.

However, the company noted that there is indeed a need for rational electricity consumption as repair work at energy facilities continues following Russian attacks. At the same time, due to the cold weather across Ukraine, electricity consumption has significantly increased – more consumers are turning on heaters, fireplaces, and air conditioners.

Additionally, the end of the heating season has led to the shutdown of some generation facilities that cannot produce electricity separately from thermal energy.

Moreover, the situation is further complicated by cloudy weather in parts of Ukraine, which reduces the efficiency of solar power stations.

Thus, "Ukrenergo" urges consumers to reduce the use of high-power electrical appliances and not to turn on multiple such devices simultaneously from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Reminder:

In Ukraine, due to a significant drop in temperature as of the morning of April 7, electricity consumption exceeded the level of the previous working day by 16% - April 4.

On April 8, electricity consumption continued to remain at a high level. As of 9:30 AM, the level of electricity consumption was 2.3% higher than at the same time the previous day – on Monday.
