The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has appointed Oleksiy Gavrish as the new ambassador of Ukraine to Norway.

This decree, numbered 218/2025, was published on the official presidential website on April 7, as reported by "European Truth".

"To appoint Oleksiy Gavrish as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Norway," the decree states.

Oleksiy Gavrish is a businessman known for his expertise in strategic and corporate management within the energy sector and investments.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has claimed that he possesses relevant experience in the Norwegian context and is a specialist in energy issues.

The position of the Ukrainian ambassador in Norway has been vacant since the summer of 2022, when the previous ambassador, Vyacheslav Yatsyuk, was dismissed after six years of service.
