At the largest industrial exhibition in Central Europe, the «MSV International Engineering Fair» in Brno, Czech Republic, the industrial potential of Kyiv was showcased under the brand «Made in Kyiv». This was reported by Volodymyr Kostykov, director of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial Development of the Kyiv City State Administration.

«This exhibition is a key event for machine engineering in Central Europe. Over 1300 companies participate annually, half of which are foreign, alongside around 56,000 visitors. It is crucial for Kyiv's economy to present its export-oriented enterprises at such an event, as each new contract brings additional funds to the city and national budget, creates new jobs, and provides an opportunity to attract potential investors to our market,» said Kostykov.

He noted that interest in Ukrainian, and specifically Kyiv enterprises, is growing, indicating their competitiveness in the European market.

«During the exhibition, we organized a forum for Czech businesses and were pleasantly surprised that the number of interested participants was nearly double our most ambitious forecasts. In total, over two hundred Czech enterprises expressed interest in cooperating with Kyiv companies in the first two days. This interest is partly a result of the high-level support for Ukraine and its capital in the Czech Republic. The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, personally visited our stand, reiterating his support for Ukraine. During the exhibition, our enterprises were also visited by the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, the newly appointed Minister of Industry and Trade, Lukas Vlacek, and the Government Commissioner of the Czech Republic for Ukraine's Reconstruction, Tomas Kopechny,» Kostykov reported.

He also thanked the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic, Vasyl Zvarych, and the consul of Ukraine in Brno, Hanna Proshko, for their support and personal involvement in opening the «Made in Kyiv» exhibition.
