According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, since the launch of the 112 service, citizens have made over 10.5 million calls. This was reported via the Ministry's Telegram channel.
“The 112 service is a crucial component of the country's safety infrastructure. By dialing a single number, multiple emergency services can be reached, which significantly saves time in critical situations,” the statement reads.
The ministry also emphasized that individuals with hearing or speech impairments can contact the 112 line. Operators accept calls in sign language through video communication. In 2.5 years of operation, over 43,000 such requests have been recorded.
Overall, according to the Ministry, more than 10.5 million calls have been received since the service was launched.
Additionally, the “112 Ukraine” app allows citizens to reach emergency services even without mobile network coverage, requiring only Wi-Fi.
“This app provides an additional channel for reporting emergencies. It will be particularly useful when in shelters, public places, and similar situations,” the ministry highlighted.
Since January 15, the 112 line has been operating in a mode for receiving reports regarding the lack of heating, water, and electricity.
