To ensure that public services are fast, transparent, and user-friendly, we need not only solutions but also reliable partners. The European Union is allocating 10 million euros for the modernization of digital services in Ukraine and their integration into the European framework.
«Collaboration with the EU and the Academy of Electronic Governance has been a long-standing success story that laid the foundation for our digital resilience. Together, we have implemented numerous critical projects: from the Trembita data exchange system to the launch of convenient public services in Diia. Our priority today is not just digitalization, but full synchronization with the EU digital space. The new funding will allow us to implement Trembita 2.0 and adapt data management to European standards. We are confidently moving towards our strategic goal of integrating Ukraine into the EU Single Digital Market,» said Oleksandr Boryniakov, Acting Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
The funds will be allocated as follows:
- Cross-border services. We will support Ukraine's access to the single market of services, goods, and capital with EU countries.
- Trembita 2.0. We will update the system that allows registries to communicate with each other, speeding up the work of public authorities.
- Data control. We will launch a system that shows when officials accessed your personal data.
- Development of Centers for Administrative Services. We will upgrade the «Beehive» system to connect more centers and enhance their operations.
- European standards. We will implement new data management rules similar to those in the EU.
- Training specialists. We will support the Center for Digital Competences that trains experts in e-services.
«Even in the midst of a full-scale war, Ukraine continues to develop its digital state and move towards digital eurointegration. The European Union supports these efforts by investing in solutions that strengthen institutional resilience and help create fast, secure, and modern public services for millions of Ukrainians,» noted Asier Santillán, Head of the «European Integration, Governance, Rule of Law, Civil Society» section of the EU Delegation to Ukraine.
The partnership with the European Union in Ukraine's digital transformation has lasted for nearly a decade. During this time, joint investments have exceeded 80 million euros, laying the groundwork for services that have become a part of everyday life for millions of Ukrainians.
The project is being implemented by the Academy of Electronic Governance (Estonia).
«The Academy of Electronic Governance has been working with Ukraine since 2012, supporting the country's digital transformation during reforms, crises, and now during the full-scale war. This long-term partnership demonstrates that digital solutions are not just technology, but also trust, resilience, and the state's ability to serve its citizens under any circumstances. Stable and reliable support from the European Union enables the development of resilient digital systems that meet European standards,» emphasized Hannes Astok, Executive Director of the Academy of Electronic Governance.
Together, we are building the most user-friendly digital state in the world!
