In 2025, the independent French company nPerf conducted a study on home internet services in Ukraine, focusing on Vodafone and "Kyivstar". The results indicated that Vodafone provides superior services to Ukrainians.
This year, the study was limited to just these two providers, unlike previous years when more were analyzed. Kyivstar fell short of Vodafone in most metrics.
According to the findings, Vodafone boasts an average download speed of 200.48 Mbps, significantly higher than Kyivstar's 109.04 Mbps. Upload speeds are also better at 196.4 Mbps compared to Kyivstar's 127.8 Mbps.
Vodafone demonstrates superior webpage loading speeds and more stable video streaming, although in latency tests, Kyivstar led with 18.32 ms versus Vodafone's 22.40 ms.
Despite Vodafone's better performance in most tests, Kyivstar's home internet remains more popular. nPerf reports that the user distribution between the two providers stands at 66% to 34%.
Interestingly, nPerf did not explain why only two providers were considered in this year's report. For comparison, in 2024, the market leader was Vega, and previously it was Lanet.
Additionally, it's worth noting that early last year, nPerf recognized Vodafone as the best mobile operator in Ukraine for 2024. Stay tuned for the results of the 2025 study, which will be released in the coming weeks.
