Every year on November 30, Ukraine honors the Day of Radio Technical Troops of the Air Force of the Armed Forces.

This holiday was established on September 16, 2010, by the order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, highlighting the crucial role of radio technical troops in ensuring air security.

These troops serve as the primary source of information regarding the aerial situation, responsible for radio technical reconnaissance of aerial objects and notifying military units.

In his address, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi emphasized that thanks to the radio technical troops, Ukrainians receive timely warnings about aerial threats.

“On November 30, we celebrate the Day of Radio Technical Troops who ensure early detection of dangers,” stated Syrskyi.

He added that the professionalism of radio technical troops is what allows Ukrainians to be promptly warned about potential threats.

“Dear radio technicians! Your work often goes unnoticed, yet it is vital for decision-makers,” he stressed.

Syrskyi also noted that during the critical hours of the Russian invasion, radio technical troops managed to preserve the command system and provide essential information to the Air Force. Their efforts enabled the successful execution of air defense tasks.

“I congratulate you on your professional holiday, wish you health and peaceful skies. Thank you for your service to the people of Ukraine. We honor the memory of our fallen comrades,” he concluded.
