The Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF) in collaboration with Brave1 and the State Emergency Service (SES) is launching a new grant program for developers of fire-fighting drones (UAVs) and ground robotic systems. Participants can receive funding of up to 8 million UAH.

This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to Fedorov, this program from USF and Brave1 will provide a significant boost to the market for fire-fighting drones.

Grants will be awarded for the development of innovative solutions capable of extinguishing fires in the most challenging and hard-to-reach areas.

Fedorov highlighted the key focus areas of the grant program:

  • Fire-fighting drones (UAVs) with remote control capabilities, able to carry loads of up to 25 kg and fly for 45 minutes.
  • Ground robotic systems with remotely controlled water jets, operational within a radius of 2 km and capable of lifting loads starting from 200 kg.

“The maximum grant amount is 8 million UAH. Over the course of a year, developers can receive up to 5 grants totaling up to 30 million UAH to progressively enhance their technology,” the Minister of Digital Transformation stated.

It is worth noting that the Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF) is also launching the Startup EDGE grant program with a total budget of 1 million euros, allowing companies to receive up to 40,000 euros in non-repayable financial assistance.
