The Ukrainian-Polish border is experiencing true winter weather. Snow and fog have complicated visibility. Tourists are strongly advised to stick to official routes. This was reported by the 7th Border Guard Mountain Unit.
They shared images of the border area in Lviv region, which is under the jurisdiction of the "Smilnytsia" and "Sianok" divisions.
"The temperature has significantly dropped here, and dense fog occasionally blankets the area.
Thus, we urge tourists to be extremely cautious, to stay on officially marked paths, and to follow border zone regulations" – the statement says.
As mountain rescuers in Prykarpattia report, it is also cloudy and snowy on Mount Pip Ivan. The air temperature reaches -2°C.
It is worth noting that the first snow on Mount Pip Ivan fell on Independence Day – August 24. By the end of October, snowdrifts in some areas reached 80 centimeters.
