Starting today, a new initiative called "Winter Support" has been launched, allowing all citizens of Ukraine residing in the country to apply for a one-time financial assistance of 1000 UAH. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydnenko on her Telegram channel.
"We are launching a new presidential initiative "Winter Support" — a program designed to help Ukrainians overcome winter challenges", she wrote.
From November 15, applications can be submitted through the "Diia" app, Svyrydnenko reminded.
"Once you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation regarding the processing and the payment order. The funds will be credited to the "National Cashback" card. The application deadline is until December 24, 2025", the message stated.
These funds can be used to pay for utilities, purchase medications, food products, books, as well as for charitable donations or postal services.
They must be utilized by June 30, 2026.
Starting November 18, assistance can already be received via "Ukrposhta", Svyrydnenko notes. Pensioners and social assistance recipients will automatically receive 1000 UAH in their special accounts where their pensions or assistance are deposited.
The funds can be spent until December 25 for purchasing goods of Ukrainian production that are sold by JSC "Ukrposhta" and for paying for services provided through Ukrposhta branches, including postal services, utilities, and donations to support the Armed Forces.
"This initiative is part of a comprehensive package of measures that the Government is implementing on the President’s order to support people during the difficult winter period amid the full-scale war", Svyrydnenko concluded.
