On the evening of November 5, Kyiv was shaken by an explosion at the Dream Yellow Mall. Fortunately, no one was injured, and the police apprehended a suspect.
According to law enforcement, a 39-year-old local man detonated a grenade following a dispute with the mall staff. The police reported that he was under the influence of alcohol.
There were no casualties from the incident, as the grenade turned out to be a paintball type. Authorities were alerted to the scene.
Later, police confirmed the suspect's apprehension and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“A forensic team and explosives experts are working at the scene. There are no injuries among the public... The man has been detained, and police are currently interviewing him. The legal classification of the event is being determined,” the statement read.
