Since the launch of the «eBook» program, over 200,000 Ukrainian citizens who turned 18 have taken advantage of this opportunity. According to the Ukrainian Book Institute, this initiative allows young people who turn 18 in 2024 or 2025 to receive 908 hryvnias for literature.
Applications for the program can be submitted from the day a person turns 18 until they turn 19.
The funds can be spent within three months on purchasing Ukrainian paper, electronic, and audiobooks at participating bookstores and publishers.
It has been noted that within three quarters of 2025, 359,000 books were purchased under the «eBook» program, averaging 1,330 books daily.
Among the popular publishers where youth most often bought books are: KSD, Vivat, BookChef, Ranok, VSL, and others.
The top authors include Collin Hoover, Tess Gerritsen, Penelope Douglas, Brianna Wiest, and Agatha Christie.
The combined sales of the top five authors reached 44,000 books, accounting for 12.46% of total sales.
Volodymyr Stanchyshyn emerged as the most popular Ukrainian author, followed by Illarion Pavliuk and Andriy Semyankiv.
