A new digital ecosystem called "Horizon" will soon be operational in Ukraine, aimed at assisting the unemployed in finding employment and receiving necessary support. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, the government has already approved the launch of the platform. Svyrydenko explained that the new system will operate through the “Diya” app.
Ukrainians will be able to:
- register their unemployment status;
- apply for assistance;
- officially resign from jobs in temporarily occupied territories;
- receive a grant of up to 15,000 UAH for retraining.
The system will utilize artificial intelligence to identify individuals who have lost their jobs and match them with suitable vacancies based on their skills, experience, and location.
Real-time data will assist the government and businesses in forecasting the demand for specialists. The State Employment Service will be the administrator of the new system, and all key government institutions will be involved.
Svyrydenko also noted that if a person does not find a job within 60 days of dismissal, career advisors from the employment service will offer them vacancies, training, retraining, or a grant even before officially obtaining the unemployment status.
