In Ukraine, 13 regions have already begun the gradual connection of heating services to residential buildings, as reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.
"There is partial connection in 13 regions. Other areas will also continue to connect consumers gradually," stated Deputy Minister Konstantin Kovalchuk.
"Currently, more than 55% of social infrastructure facilities are connected to heating, including over 5,000 kindergartens, nearly 6,000 educational institutions, and more than 2,000 healthcare facilities," he noted.
A total of more than 17.5 thousand boiler houses and 17 thousand kilometers of heating networks have been prepared for the heating season, of which 340 km have been replaced, with major repairs and boiler replacements conducted.
Kovalchuk emphasized that this heating season began under unprecedented attacks on energy and thermal generation facilities. Residential buildings, heating, and water supply systems are suffering daily from enemy shelling.
"We anticipate a challenging winter, but despite this, the technical readiness of heating supply enterprises allows us to start the heating season. I would like to thank all communities that approached the start of the heating season wisely and economically," he added.
