In October, Ukrainian rescuers visited the Kingdom of Sweden as part of a cooperative effort between the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB). During this training visit, experts honed their skills on modern rescue vessels that will soon be donated to Ukraine as humanitarian aid.
The rescuers trained in Stockholm and Gothenburg. They:
- operated the rescue vessel "Märta Collin" (16 m) and the fast firefighting vessel "Balder" (15 m);
- practiced vessel management skills;
- familiarized themselves with the construction, fire suppression systems, and technical capabilities of the vessels.
Additionally, a meeting took place with representatives of the Swedish company that manufactures these vessels, which will continue to provide technical support and maintenance services.
