The new international train №99/100 connecting Kyiv and Bucharest is generating significant interest among Ukrainian travelers. In just two weeks, 2100 tickets have already been sold, reports Ukrzaliznytsia.
“During the first week of service, Ukrzaliznytsia transported nearly 800 passengers. The most frequent route was from Vinnytsia to Bucharest,” states the announcement.
“This train provides access to two international airports in Romania – in Iași and Bucharest. From Iași, it is convenient to catch night flights, while Bucharest is ideal for morning departures. Urban transport facilitates easy transfers,” adds Ukrzaliznytsia.
At Bucharest's central station, Gara de Nord, travelers can also connect to trains heading to Burgas, Sofia, and Istanbul.
The customs control time between Ukraine and Moldova is one hour, while the crossing from Moldova to Romania takes one and a half hours.
