The Ukrainian company TAF Industries has unveiled an innovative short-range electronic warfare system called "Quasar-A" designed to protect armored vehicles and cars. The manufacturer shared the details of this new product in a recent post.

TAF Industries describes the EW system as an effective countermeasure against kamikaze drones and multirotor UAVs that perform drops. Key features of the "Quasar-A" include:

  • 360-degree coverage with a range of up to 300 meters;
  • Jamming of control and video transmission channels;
  • Five channels, each with a power output of 100 watts;
  • Any frequency bands available upon request.

"Quasar-A" creates a field of active interference, blocking control and video transmission. The system features antennas with magnetic mounts that allow deployment in just 5 minutes. It operates in rain, dust, and extreme cold. With an IP66 protection rating and up to 2 hours of autonomy, "Quasar-A" maintains defensive lines, protects crews, and saves lives," the video from TAF Industries states.

Additionally, in September, TAF Industries announced the codification of the FPV drone Kolibri 13-O, which includes a fiber-optic communication channel. This drone is an enhanced version of the standard Kolibri model, specifically designed to operate in conditions of dense electronic warfare. The manufacturer notes that the new model possesses features that make it a "cheat code" on the battlefield.
