On October 16, the mobile app of monobank encountered significant issues due to an overwhelming number of users. Many are unable to log into the service. This was reported by Oleg Grokhovsky, one of the bank's founders.
Currently, customers cannot access the mobile app's features – an error message appears upon login attempts.
Monobank announced that it has reached 10 million customers and launched a game called "lemon hunting" within the app.
The demand proved to be so high that within the first 10 minutes, 10,000 users found 10 "lemons" each, causing the servers to crash under the load.
"Listen, you might want to search for them a little slower. Part of our functionality has collapsed because of you". You entered in such numbers into places where no one has ever been," Grokhovsky stated.
