Train №99/100 connecting Kyiv and Bucharest has successfully launched its inaugural journey with 100 passengers on board. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba via Telegram.
“Despite the ongoing attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastructure from Russia, Ukrzaliznytsia trains continue to operate on schedule. The train №99/100 departed exactly as planned, taking its first one hundred passengers along for the ride,” he stated.
Kuleba highlighted that the new service will operate daily through Vinnytsia, Zhmerinka, and Mohyliv-Podilskyi. Border control will be conducted in the cities of Velchynets and Ungheni. The train arrives at Romania's main station, Gara de Nord.
From Kyiv, the train leaves at 06:30 and arrives in Bucharest at 06:47 the next day.
In the opposite direction, the departure from Gara de Nord is at 19:10, arriving back in Kyiv at 19:34 the following day.
In just two days since ticket sales began, over 300 tickets for the new international train №99/100 Kyiv - Bucharest have been sold.
