Ukrainians will soon have the ability to receive notifications regarding who accesses their personal data.
This information comes from the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
"We are about to launch notifications in Diia, which will allow you to see who accessed your information in the registries and for what purpose. The government has approved a resolution to initiate the data access monitoring subsystem in Trembita," the message states.
If a Ukrainian's data is checked in the registries, they will receive a notification in Diia. Each instance of access will be recorded in the system.
For example, if a government agency requires your data to provide a service, an employee will make a request in the registry. After this, the individual will receive a notification in Diia with all the details of the request.
It is important to note that notifications about data access will not be sent in cases related to criminal investigations, counterintelligence, anti-terrorism, or pre-trial investigations.
