Applications for basic social assistance can be submitted online via the «Diia» platform.

This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Julia Svyrydenko, on her Telegram channel.

According to her, it is essential for the government that every Ukrainian family can receive support quickly and without unnecessary bureaucracy.

«We are changing our approach: instead of five different payments, there will now be a basic social assistance. This will allow families in difficult situations to receive the necessary support more swiftly. This specifically applies to low-income families, single mothers, and children whose parents evade alimony payments,» Svyrydenko stated.

Applications for this assistance can be submitted conveniently online through the «Diia» app. «The process is extremely simple: just a few steps in the app — and you will receive a calculation of your monthly payment. If everything is satisfactory — you submit your application. There’s no need to waste time gathering paper documents,» the Prime Minister emphasized.

As Svyrydenko noted, the amount of assistance is calculated individually. It is linked to a basic measure that determines the minimum income required per person in a family, currently set at 4,500 UAH.

This pilot project is planned for two years. Meanwhile, the government is already working to make it permanent. «We have approved and submitted the relevant bill to parliament,» the Prime Minister added, expressing gratitude to international partners who help make social services more accessible.

We remind you that the Cabinet of Ministers has approved a bill proposing to transform state social assistance for low-income families into basic social assistance starting from January 1, 2026, merging different types of state support.
