The Notary Chamber of Ukraine has called for an immediate stop to the testing of the e-notary system due to serious security concerns, including the leak of data from the powers of attorney and inheritance registries, including wills.

This statement was published on the official website of the Notary Chamber.

«The Notary Chamber of Ukraine has reached out to the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, as well as the Minister of Justice Herman Halushchenko, to ensure the protection of notary confidentiality and to stop the testing of the e-notary system», the statement reads.

It is noted that during the work with the training version of the e-notary system, real data from the Unified Registry of Powers of Attorney and the Inheritance Registry, including information about wills, became accessible.

«This represents a significant violation of the legislation regarding notary confidentiality and citizens' rights, according to NPU. The Notary Chamber expresses its readiness to engage in addressing all proposals and comments to resolve issues related to the training version of e-notary testing», the Chamber stated.

The testing of the e-notary digital platform was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov on September 2. Previously, he had announced the introduction of six new services in the "Diia" app, including AI assistant, e-Excise, and e-Notary.
