In August, the deadline for housing assistance for some IDPs expired, but the government has decided to extend these payments for another six months, until February 2026.
This information was confirmed by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity.
The benefits apply to individuals with disabilities of groups I - III, families with children under 18 years old (up to 23 years if the children are studying), and families consisting solely of non-working individuals.
Additionally, several changes have been introduced in the process of assigning housing benefits for IDPs:
having funds in a deposit account exceeding 100,000 UAH will no longer be an obstacle for receiving assistance for orphans, children deprived of parental care, and children temporarily placed with relatives, acquaintances, foster families, or family-type children's homes;
if a non-working capable person registers as unemployed at an employment center after the cessation of their assistance during this six-month period, their benefits will be reinstated from the month they began working.
The continuation of payments will occur automatically, without the need for additional applications.
The ministry reminded that the amount of assistance is:
- 2,000 UAH - for one adult;
- 3,000 UAH - for one child or person with a disability-IDP.
Assistance is paid monthly for each family member of vulnerable categories of IDPs or those with low incomes.
