Last night, a fire broke out at an unused warehouse in Korosten, Zhytomyr region. The flames quickly spread through the wooden framework of the roof and walls, as well as sandwich panels. The area affected by the fire was about 500 square meters. There was a risk of flames spreading to an adjacent warehouse. The firefighting efforts were complicated by heavy smoke and high temperatures. Firefighters also had to work at a height of nearly 10 meters.

The extinguishing operation lasted over three hours. The fire damaged the roof and walls covering an area of 500 sq. m, along with an electric forklift and household appliances. Fortunately, the firefighters managed to save the nearby warehouse. A total of 22 firefighters and 6 pieces of equipment were involved in the operation.

All circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation.
