President Volodymyr Zelensky convened a meeting with leaders of law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies, emphasizing the importance of constructive collaboration.
The head of state shared this information on social media.
Zelensky described the conversation as "open and beneficial". According to him, the parties agreed to hold a "deep working meeting on the action plan" next week. In two weeks, they are expected to present a joint plan outlining necessary steps to strengthen Ukraine and address public concerns.
The president released a joint photo with all meeting participants.
Direct quote: "I thank all participants of our meeting today: SBU, NABU, SAP, NAPC, DBR, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Attorney General. Thank you for your willingness to work as a team – for the interests of Ukraine. We agreed that everyone will work exclusively constructively.
We hear what society is saying. We see what people expect from state institutions to ensure justice and effectiveness. We discussed necessary administrative and legislative decisions to strengthen the work of each institution, resolve existing contradictions, and eliminate threats. We will work together and provide political support".
Why this matters: President Zelensky has not yet directly mentioned the law signed on July 22 to limit the powers of anti-corruption institutions, nor the protests that occurred last Tuesday near the Office of the President.
