The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, held an important meeting with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, and the deputies responsible for international cooperation and technical support.

On his Facebook page, Shmyhal shared information about discussing crucial issues, particularly the production of weaponry, including state-of-the-art interceptor drones.

«We focused on fulfilling the tasks set by the President during the Technology Summit held on June 27. We reviewed all agenda items. It is essential to provide our Ukrainian soldiers with the necessary equipment and armaments,» he emphasized.

Shmyhal also noted that this is a matter of protecting Ukrainian cities.

«We plan to expand production in Ukraine and procure interceptor drones from our partners that have already proven their effectiveness. We expect tangible results shortly,» he added.

The discussions with the deputies included procurement, contracting, and financing of production, as well as priority areas of work. Shmyhal provided specific directives.

«We are intensifying efforts across all fronts to strengthen our defense potential,» he concluded.
