This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

«Currently, the harvest collection is actively ongoing in the region: more than 46,000 tons of grains and legumes have already been harvested, almost 5,000 tons of rapeseed, as well as around 2,000 tons of vegetables and the first 500 tons of watermelons», - the report states.

It is also noted that farmers in the Kherson region have planted nearly 220,000 hectares for the 2025 harvest. However, due to spring frosts and drought, crops on over 50,000 hectares have been lost or damaged. Preliminary estimates of damages to farmers exceed 1 billion hryvnias.

«So far, 300 farms have contacted us to document their losses. Commissions have been established to assess the situation. We have also reached out to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and international partners requesting urgent measures to support our farmers», - stated the first deputy head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Butriy.
