Scammers are spreading messages on social media and messaging apps, purportedly from banks, offering «cash rewards» for completing a brief survey.

This was reported by the State Special Communications Service.

Such messages contain links to phishing websites designed to look like official bank pages. When the victim visits the site, they are asked to complete a survey, after which they are prompted to enter their phone number, SMS code, and PIN.
The scammers use the collected data to link the user’s account to a new device or for unauthorized online access to the bank app, allowing them to withdraw funds from the victim’s account.

How to avoid falling victim to scams?

  •  Check the website address before entering your payment card details or passwords – phishing sites may look legitimate.
  •  Trust only official sources! Verify information about surveys and payouts on official institution websites.
  •  Do not click on links in messages; search for the necessary website on your own using a search engine.

If you have become a victim of a scam, immediately contact your bank and file a report with the Cyber Police.
