Starting July 3, traffic on the overpass connecting Mykola Bazhan Avenue and the Dnipro Embankment in Kyiv will be partially restricted, continuing until August 2026.

This was announced by the municipal enterprise "Kyivavtodor."

The restrictions are related to the commencement of major repairs of the overpass near the "Osokorky" metro station. The work will be carried out in phases.

In the first phase, traffic will be limited on one half of the overpass on the Dnipro Embankment heading towards Osokorky. Traffic will operate in both directions on the opposite side of the overpass.

During the capital repair, vehicle traffic will follow a temporary scheme.

The overpass near the "Osokorky" metro station is relatively new, built in 1990, but a 2023 inspection revealed significant defects: wear of waterproofing, destruction of reinforced concrete structures, exposure and corrosion of reinforcement, cracks, and spalling of concrete.

The major repair will involve a complete replacement of the overpass, including new supports, beams, and bridge decking.
