German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful has arrived in Ukraine on an official visit.
This was reported by Spiegel magazine.
On Monday, June 30, he arrived in Kyiv, where he plans to hold discussions with representatives of the Ukrainian government.
Upon arrival, Wadeful stated that "the freedom and future of Ukraine is a top priority" for German foreign and security policy. He also mentioned that Vladimir Putin's attempts to subjugate Ukraine through brutal bombings are intolerable.
Prior to his arrival, he warned against underestimating the threat posed by Russia to Germany.
In one of his recent speeches, he emphasized that the Baltic Sea is a region where the risk of military confrontation is "quite real".
Wadeful also expressed concern that the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran could distract attention from Ukraine.
