Over 200 unique artifacts, obtained by Ukrainian soldiers in fierce battles, will serve as symbols of bravery and evidence of Russian aggression.

Recently, artifacts related to the Russian-Ukrainian war were officially handed over to the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II, enriching the museum's collection.

The commander of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine, Major Oleg Shiryayev personally delivered around 200 items captured during fierce combat. Among them are remnants of enemy drones, personal weapons of Russian soldiers, and various equipment.

At the event, the major shared the story of these artifacts and the combat journey of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

«Each of the transferred artifacts is a living piece of history in the struggle of the Ukrainian people. They remind us of fierce battles, the resilience of our warriors, and the cost of freedom. These trophies will become important testimonies of aggression, allowing future generations to better understand the events of war, the spirit, and the heroism of Ukrainian defenders», — noted Major Oleg Shiryayev.

The museum's director, Yuriy Savchuk, thanked the military for the historical artifacts provided to the museum, emphasizing their crucial role in preserving historical memory. They will serve as a source of knowledge about the war and its consequences.

«Preserving historical artifacts is not just our duty, but a way to convey the truth to future generations. Each exhibit is a voice from the past, telling about events and reminding us of resilience and the fight for freedom. Through these artifacts, we keep the memory of the heroes who defended our land alive», — emphasized Yuriy Savchuk.

This event marks an important step in preserving the memory of the feats of Ukrainian soldiers who fight daily for the country's independence.

It is worth noting that the 225th battalion was formed on March 8, 2022, bringing together volunteers to defend the state and their hometown.

In July 2023, the battalion transitioned to the status of a Separate Assault Battalion of the Ground Forces, playing a key role in the counter-offensive near Bakhmut.

Currently, the 225th Separate Assault Battalion is actively participating in the Kursk operation, becoming the first unit to breach the enemy's border.

On February 4, 2025, the battalion officially received the status of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment.
