During the recent meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council held on Thursday, representatives from Ukraine and their allies addressed pressing security issues and future assistance from the Alliance.
This was reported by the Ukrainian mission to NATO.
Online participation was led by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, who shared insights on Russia's strategic objectives in the ongoing conflict and outlined the operational situation.
General Syrskyi emphasized that strengthening air defense remains a top priority for Ukraine, which requires more aircraft, anti-aircraft systems, and radar stations.
He also highlighted the critical need for supplying missiles and ammunition to the Ukrainian troops.
The General outlined the main priorities for military cooperation with NATO and the peaceful efforts of the international community led by the USA.
He stressed the importance of an immediate and unconditional ceasefire across air, sea, and land for at least 30 days to create space for diplomacy.
It is worth noting that from May 14 to 16 in Antalya, an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers will take place.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has already arrived in Turkey, where NATO ministers are gathering.
