During the 1,000 days of full-scale invasion, 52,214 infants were born in the capital, and 65,655 couples got married. This information was shared by Mykola Povoroznyk, the First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, on his Facebook page.

Since February 24, 2022, 65,655 couples have tied the knot in Kyiv. Despite air raids and missile attacks, hospitals welcomed 52,214 newborns: 26,840 boys and 25,374 girls. Among the newborns, there were 933 pairs of twins and seven sets of triplets.

“For 1,000 days, the aggressor has continuously shelled the territory of Ukraine with various types of weapons, including drones and missiles. Ukrainians are fighting for their Independence and Freedom! Our Armed Forces defend the homeland every day, medical personnel save lives, and utility workers mitigate the aftermath of attacks. Everyone must do their part to bring Victory closer!” emphasized Mykola Povoroznyk.

He wished newly formed families love and harmony, and health for the newborns and their parents.
