During his visit to a hospital located in a frequently shelled area of Kherson, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with healthcare workers and patients.
The hospital director briefed the President on the situation in the surgical unit, which is treating individuals suffering from multiple blast injuries due to drone attacks and artillery shelling. Additionally, the facility features an underground resuscitation module, allowing doctors to provide surgical assistance in a safer environment.
The President expressed his gratitude to the medical staff for their dedication and efforts in saving lives.
Zelensky also listened to a report from the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, regarding the construction of new medical infrastructure projects in the region. Currently, 11 healthcare facilities have been equipped with underground hospitals, with plans for five more by the end of the year.
