In Kyiv, the renovation of the modern medical and diagnostic facility of the «Okhmatdyt» hospital is ongoing. The Ministry of Health of Ukraine reports on this initiative.
Work is being conducted both externally (facades, windows) and internally (finishing, engineering networks, lighting).
Specifically, the dismantling of old ventilated facade systems has been completed on blocks B, V, and D, and the installation of new systems (brackets, insulation, frames, and tiling) has commenced. The total area covered by the renovation exceeds 3 thousand square meters.
Additionally, 157 old window units have been removed, and 217 new units have been installed, including duplicate structures (across all three blocks).
Simultaneously, the internal spaces of the three blocks are being updated: work is ongoing for the dismantling and installation of ceilings, walls, reveals, and windows, with updates made to drywall constructions, plastering, radiators, and lighting.
A comprehensive repair cycle is being implemented in each block to create a safe, modern, and comfortable environment for patients and healthcare providers. The work is organized so that the hospital can continue to provide medical assistance to children without interruption.
Moreover, the hospital has established a space for the Superhero School, where children can study during their treatment. The center operates under the patronage of the First Lady Olena Zelenska and is part of the nationwide network of educational centers in children's hospitals.
It is worth recalling that in the summer of 2024, Russians struck the «Okhmatdyt» hospital in Kyiv with a missile. Special services reported that a fragment of the engine of a X-101 cruise missile was found at the tragedy site.
