The specialized children's hospital "Okhmatdyt" has reported that it has fully resumed operations in the affected buildings following the Russian missile strike. However, the restoration efforts for the damaged structures are at various stages.

This information was provided by the NDSL "Okhmatdyt".

They noted that emergency measures were taken after the shelling, funded by the charity foundation "Tabletki". A comprehensive assessment of the hospital's buildings was also conducted, and a full restoration plan has been developed.

The stages of restoration for the buildings vary.

In the medical-diagnostic building, technical supervision has been conducted, the client service has been engaged, and a contract for the development of project documentation has been signed. In the first half of May, "Okhmatdyt" plans to announce a procurement procedure for major repair works.

The restoration of this building will be funded by the charity foundation "Okhmatdyt – Healthy Childhood".

For the destroyed surgical building, a technical survey was conducted, a medical task and program were developed. Additionally, a design task for the restoration was created.

At NDSL "Okhmatdyt", it was stated that they announced a procurement in March, and at the end of April, the Selection Committee approved the cost assessment report, which was sent to the World Bank.

Funding for the restoration of the toxicology building, which is a historical landmark, is provided by the UNITED24 platform. Conservation work is scheduled to begin in early May 2025.

The damaged administrative building is also a historical landmark, with its restoration funded by UNITED24. Project documentation has been developed for it, and a procurement procedure for the work is set to be announced in May this year.

A contract for the development of project and estimate documentation has been signed for the restoration of the transformer substation, which still needs to undergo state examination. The next step will be to announce a tender for the restoration.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health explained that "Okhmatdyt" has the highest level of construction complexity, which prolongs the restoration process of the children's hospital.

The institution added that conducting major repairs requires the development of project documentation that must undergo state examination, public tenders, as well as control at all stages.

"We are doing everything possible to restore the hospital as quickly as we can. Our priority is quality. And our unwavering goal is to save lives, treat, and support children," they added at the hospital.
