A woman has been detained in Lviv for shooting at a minibus carrying an alert group. The 44-year-old local resident is suspected of a crime that could lead to a prison sentence ranging from three to seven years. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.
The incident occurred on February 2 around 7:30 AM on Kosmichna Street. The woman struck the front windshield of a Volkswagen minibus several times, which was transporting the alert group. After the vehicle continued moving, she fired a shot, hitting the rear window. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Law enforcement quickly identified the suspect. A device resembling a traumatic pistol was seized from her and sent for examination.
The woman has been charged under part 4 of Article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanctions of this article provide for imprisonment for a term of three to seven years. Pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
