Investigators seized 45 packets containing a substance similar to Alpha-PVP from a minor. The offender faces a potential sentence of up to ten years in prison.
During a patrol in the Obolon district of Kyiv, near Stepan Bandera Avenue, officers discovered a young man with 'stash' packages wrapped in adhesive tape. To clarify the circumstances, an investigative team was dispatched to the scene.
Investigators confiscated 45 taped packages containing a crystalline substance resembling the psychoactive Alpha-PVP.
The suspect turned out to be a 17-year-old student from one of the capital's lyceums, who was employed as a courier for an illegal online drug shop. His responsibilities included creating hiding spots for 'goods' for customers and sending them geolocations.
The authorities apprehended the offender under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
After conducting a relevant examination, the minor is expected to be informed of suspicion under part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – illegal acquisition, storage, or distribution of psychoactive substances or their analogs. The penalty for this article prescribes up to ten years of imprisonment with property confiscation.
