Two assailants attacked an elderly woman in the entrance of an apartment building in Troieshchyna. Currently, one of the suspects has been sentenced while the investigation against his accomplice is ongoing.
In April, police received a report from a resident about two unknown men who robbed her in the entrance of her building on Red Kalyn Avenue. 
Law enforcement apprehended a 35-year-old man from Kyiv and a 28-year-old native of Cherkasy region, charging them under part 4 of article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – robbery. 
During the preliminary investigation, it was established that the two criminals noticed the 88-year-old woman paying for her goods in a store. They followed her to her home, where one of the assailants pushed the pensioner, causing her to lose her balance and fall, while the convicted robber took her bag containing 10,000 hryvnias.
After gathering the necessary evidence, police submitted the indictment to the court. 
Recently, the Desnyansky court sentenced the 28-year-old robber to seven years and six months of imprisonment. 
The investigation into the second suspect is still ongoing.
