In the Bila Tserkva region, a vehicle belonging to military center employees was set on fire, allegedly by a resident under orders from an aggressor state. The suspect could face up to eight years in prison for this crime.
A military center employee noticed the fire and promptly informed the police. Together with colleagues, they managed to extinguish the vehicle that was already engulfed in flames.
Law enforcement quickly established that a 36-year-old man had entered the military center's premises at night, where a Nissan Navara was parked. Using a homemade flammable liquid, the suspect set fire to the rear of the vehicle. After confirming that the car was burning, he fled the scene.
Working in conjunction with the Security Service of Ukraine, operatives quickly identified the criminal, apprehending him according to legal procedures and placing him in a temporary detention facility.
Based on the collected evidence, the Bila Tserkva district prosecutor's office has charged the suspect with obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period (part 1 of article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
