Investigators from the Desnyansky police department have wrapped up their investigation regarding a robbery incident involving a pedestrian. Sufficient evidence was gathered against the criminals who assaulted a man and stole his watch and backpack. The suspects face up to ten years in prison for their actions. The incident took place last month in the Lisovyi massif of the Desnyansky district.

The victim, a 35-year-old lawyer, reported to the police that he was attacked by two unknown individuals while walking home from the subway. They provoked a conflict and assaulted him, knocking him to the ground and striking him in the head. The attackers stole his watch and backpack containing important documents before fleeing the scene.

Law enforcement acted promptly, apprehending the suspects, who were identified as two unemployed local residents aged 42 and 45. During searches, investigators recovered the stolen items from the suspects' possession.

The suspects were formally charged under Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which addresses robbery with violence committed by a group during a state of war. The pre-trial investigation has concluded, and the indictment has been sent to court. The accused are currently in custody.
