Under the supervision of the Novobavarsky District Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv, a 36-year-old man has been charged with assaulting police officers and TCC representatives.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
The suspect faces charges of attacking a law enforcement officer's life (Article 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and an attempted murder of two or more individuals in connection with their official duties (part 2 of Article 15, paragraph 1, 8 part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
On August 14, 2025, at about 22:15 in Kharkiv, a police officer together with TCC and SP staff conducted notifications of reservists regarding mobilization measures during wartime.
During this operation, the officer approached the man for a document check. Before he could say anything, the man pulled out a knife and struck the officer in the temple. The attacker then struck three TCC employees in succession: one in the head and arm, another in the head and collarbone area, and the third in the torso.
The suspect immediately fled but law enforcement quickly located him.
The court has chosen a measure of restraint for the man in the form of detention without the right to bail.
The victims are receiving necessary medical assistance in hospitals.
The preliminary investigation is being conducted by the SV VP No. 1 of the Kharkiv Region Police Department.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until proven guilty in a lawful manner by a court verdict.
