Investigators have inspected the crash site, seized official documents and other evidence, and interviewed witnesses. Further interviews with responsible persons, technical examinations, and analysis of data from the flight recorder are planned.
The investigation is particularly focused on the aircraft's technical condition, adherence to flight preparation regulations, and the effectiveness of oversight by responsible officials.
Simultaneously, an internal investigation within the military unit is ongoing to establish all causes and conditions that may have led to the emergency.
The investigation is under special control by the leadership of the SBI due to the strategic importance of aviation safety in a state of war.
