In the capital of Ukraine, a criminal group has been arrested, with members facing up to twelve years in prison. Law enforcement officials determined that the organizer is a 46-year-old man previously convicted of murder. He recruited three accomplices, including two Kyiv residents aged 36 and 43, and a 51-year-old from the Kyiv region.
Over the course of a year, they devised a scheme to steal money, tracking the vehicle's route. The criminals knew that money was kept in the trunk, so they cut a hole to access the currency.
On the day of the crime, they blocked the office doors of the exchange point and stole a bag containing 8 million hryvnias and 165 thousand euros, totaling approximately 15 million hryvnias in equivalent.
Police operatives arrested the organizer, who has been charged, while three other participants also received charges. The court placed them in custody with bail set for the organizer and executors.
