Law enforcement in Sumy has revealed a woman involved in pimping and organizing prostitution activities. Her operations were halted by the migration police in collaboration with investigators.
During the preliminary investigation, it was found that a 33-year-old resident of Kyiv had recruited women from various cities in Ukraine to provide sexual services. She directed them to Sumy, where she rented accommodations and created conditions for their work. The cost of such services ranged from 4000 to 6000 hryvnias.
Officers conducted searches at her residence in Kyiv and at a rented apartment in Sumy, where the women provided intimate services.
During the searches, they seized: mobile phones, bank cards, receipts, cash, contraceptive devices, and other material evidence.
The woman has currently been informed of suspicion under part 2 of Article 303 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – pimping or involving a person in prostitution, committed repeatedly or by prior conspiracy of a group of individuals.
The preliminary investigation is ongoing, and the police are taking all necessary measures to identify other potential participants in the criminal scheme.
