The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy have officially established a memorandum on strategic partnership and collaboration. This was reported by the GUR.
The document was signed by the head of GUR, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, and the president of NaUKMA, Serhiy Kvit. The primary goal of this initiative is to combine practical military intelligence experience with academic expertise from the university to better analyze the common enemy.
Plans include studying Russian society, state institutions, propaganda methods, and ways of thinking. Specialists from the intelligence community will work alongside the International Relations Department at NaUKMA in partnership with the School of Political Analytics.
“To defeat the enemy, it is crucial to understand how they think and act. We are ready to share our unique experiences with the Mohyliants. Science and intelligence will collaborate to enhance the country's defense capabilities,” stated Kyrylo Budanov.
The collaboration between GUR and NaUKMA encompasses joint research, educational initiatives, and knowledge exchange, which will help train a new generation of specialists who will have a deep understanding of the enemy and be able to effectively counter its influence.
“We have launched a certificate program on ‘Russian Studies’ to examine Russia as a threat. An unknown enemy is the most dangerous. Therefore, studying it is part of our contribution to a common victory. Collaboration with GUR will make these studies more systematic and effective,” emphasized Serhiy Kvit.
Earlier, GUR specialists showcased the design of the Russian drone 'Orion' and data on 43 companies involved in its production. Notably, one-third of these companies are currently not under sanctions from any coalition countries.
