Soon, the first female students of the Faculty of Eastern Languages will begin their studies under the dual diploma program.
Kyiv National University named after Boris Hrinchenko is actively enhancing its international collaboration with higher education institutions in Japan.
As reported by the KCSA press service, on September 4th, during an official meeting in Budapest (Hungary), Acting Rector Oleksandr Turuntsev and President of the Japanese University of Economics, Ms. Asuka Tsuzuki, signed an agreement on dual diplomas.
During this meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding and a Student Exchange Agreement were also established, opening new avenues for academic mobility and the integration of Ukrainian students into the global educational landscape.
Starting in 2026, five students will be able to participate in this program, significantly expanding opportunities for academic mobility and professional growth.
With the support of Ms. Asuka Tsuzuki, Grinchenko University students will also have internships in Japanese companies involved in the reconstruction of Ukraine, which will strengthen economic ties between Ukraine and Japan.
Additionally, from September 16, 2025, to January 6, 2026, the Japanese University of Economics and Grinchenko University will jointly conduct a course titled “Ukrainian-Japanese Intercultural Communication in the Workplace” as part of the COIL program.
This course will provide students with the opportunity to communicate with Japanese students and deepen intercultural dialogue.
It is worth noting that Grinchenko University has ranked among the top ten universities in Kyiv, securing the 10th position out of 72 institutions.
