Hrinchenko University in Kyiv has shown remarkable growth in the annual academic ranking «Top-200 Ukraine», moving up 23 positions, as reported by the KMDA press service.
The university now holds the 32nd place. The top three spots are occupied by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Lviv Polytechnic National University, and Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
This ranking was compiled by the Euroeducation International Projects Center in partnership with the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence. It is considered one of the most authoritative tools for assessing the effectiveness of Ukrainian universities. Its annual publication shapes perceptions of the quality of educational, scientific, and innovative activities, as well as their competitiveness in both national and international contexts.
The ranking methodology is based on a comprehensive analysis of various aspects of higher education institutions' functioning. It evaluates academic success, scientific productivity, level of innovative activity, social impact, international cooperation, digitalization, and the implementation of modern technologies, including artificial intelligence. Data from leading international platforms, such as SCImago Institutions Rankings, are also taken into account.
«The progress of Hrinchenko University in 2025 is a confirmation of the effectiveness of the implemented development strategy and the high professionalism of the academic staff», the statement reads.
The university has achieved the following indicators:
- an increase of 23 positions in the overall ranking;
- growth in the total ranking score by 6 points;
- an improvement of 14 positions in the Scopus database, indicating an activation of publication activity and an increase in the quality of research;
- an improved position in the international ranking THE University Impact Rankings 2025.
As noted by the KMDA press service, the rise in prestigious rankings indicates the university's steady growth and its confident advancement towards becoming a modern, innovative, and competitive educational center.
